Seo consulting has announced the layoffs of 1,000 employees across its business and consulting teams, including a team of 15 senior management experts.
The company said that the layoffs are part of a strategic change and are effective for the next two months.
The company says that the move is necessary due to the challenging global environment.
“The company has made significant changes in our organization to align with a changing workforce and business landscape,” said Seo president and CEO, Mark A. Kostecki.
In addition to the layoffs, Seo said it has reduced the workforce by 15% and is looking for qualified individuals to lead its global health and fitness teams.
While Seo’s healthcare consulting teams are focused on helping individuals achieve their fitness goals, Kostelnick said it’s also important to focus on the needs of the larger community.
He said the company has an opportunity to bring more people into the company as part of this strategy.
“We are bringing in people who have experience in other businesses who can help us to meet the needs and expectations of the health care industry in a way that will help us stay competitive in the healthcare space,” Kostencki said.
Seo’s new strategy is aimed at keeping the company competitive in a global healthcare market that is expected to reach $4 trillion by 2030.
According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the U,S.
has more than 3 million healthcare professionals, or 1.5% of the global workforce.
In the last five years, healthcare consulting services have grown by more than 1,300%.
