FOX Sports Bears reporter Jason Cole is reporting that the Chicago Bears have beaten the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 24-17 to clinch their first playoff berth in 11 years.
Cole tweeted the following after the Bears’ victory.
Bears @bears1321 beat Tampa Bay 24-7 to clinch the NFC North title.
The Bears lead the NFC South with a 7-5 record and a 5-2 mark in conference play.
Cole has the Bears at 6-3, tied with the Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys for the NFC’s second seed.
The Bears have won five straight regular season games, with two of those victories coming by an average of 20 points.
Cole also noted that the Bears have scored the most points in the NFL this season with a whopping 1,943 points.
The Bears have the most scoring touchdowns (17) in the league.
